In Praise of Ištar - A Psalm of the King.

Ishtar giver of the scepter, the throne and title of kings, 
O Lady of the Heavens, look favorably upon me!

I am Ištar’s star.  
I am the brightest light in the darkess heavens.
Darkness cannot reside in me, around me nor over me.
Darkness canot overtake me, disable me nor defeat me,
The greater the darkness - the brighter Ištar’s light in me.
My countenance is bright like Venus my beloved star.
I am strong, vigorous and confident.
I am greatness personified. I am a Prince of the Blood.
I am the consort of Ištar my beloved Goddess.
Ištar sustains me. Ištar loves me. Ištar defeats all my enemies.
I am without equal, uncontested & battle proven. I am victorious! 
Ištar made me king. Ištar is Supreme!
Great lion roar! Let the jungle fall silent and every creature tremble in fear.
Ištar favor is upon me. She strengthens my hands and emboldens my heart.
My lap is aflame with passion for Ištar. She rides me across the heavens.
My lap is honey to Ištar. I am the one her lap prefers above all others.
Ištar, my Goddess Queen, comforter to my soul, my lover always be.
Ištar, Goddess of Kings, may your light always shine on me.
